Elixer of Pigmentation

The Elixir of Pigmentation is a common, though highly sought after alchemic concoction. It’s capable of permanently tinting nearly any organic material another colour, forever. Useful for colouring armor, disfiguring your ex boyfriend, or painting a ‘mural’ on Government Property that will last forever.

Essence: Ardent

Drinking this thin, bitter brew almost makes one wish that they were just swallowing down more poison. A vile taste of rotten fruit remains on the tongue for several moments as the elixir goes to work, bolstering the drinker’s vital systems and giving them a second chance to throw off the effects of any toxins in their systems. Upon imbibing this potion, the drinker may immediately make a poison resistance check against any toxin in their system. Success means that the antitoxin has removed it, and failure means that nothing has changed.

Potion of Graceful Fall
Novice Level
Base: Holy Water
Catalyst: Aetherial
Essence: Dolor

Graceful Fall is one of those potions that you never need, until precisely when you do. Often, it’s one that’s left at home on the shelf, and always regretted afterwards. Graceful Fall bestows upon the drinker the ability to fall 200 feet without damage. After 200 feet, fall damage resumes, as if the fall had just begun from that point.

Potion of Levitation
Novice Level
Base: Alcohol
Catalyst: Beastial
Essence: Ardent

Sipping this white, cloudy liquid will make the drinker feel lighter on their feet, until they finally lift off from the ground. For 10 minutes, the drinker’s feet will hover six inches off of the ground or whatever horizontal surface is beneath them. Walking and running are unimpaired, but jumping is impossible, as there is nothing to push off of. Attempting to levitate over the surface of a liquid will find the drinker sinking down into it, as long as it is more than six inches deep. The levitating force will prevent the imbiber from sinking down over their shoulders, however, causing them to bob in the liquid.

Potion of Minor Healing
Novice Level

Catalyst: Aetherial
Essence: Ardent

This slightly-bitter elixir numbs the tongue as it goes down, and leaves a cool, minty aftertaste. The body grows slightly numb soon after ingestion as well, as the potion goes to work mending the drinker’s wounds. Gashes pull shut, cuts and scrapes heal before a viewer’s eyes, and the drinker regains 20% of their maximum HP.

Potion of Minor Polymorph

Catalyst: Humanoid
Essence: Dolor

Polymorph is a risky branch of magic, and most mages steer clear of anything that could addle or damage the body of themselves, or others. However, some live on the edge - and crafting such potions come as second nature to them. Minor Polymorph is considered mostly a party trick, an amusement that can cause a little fun and chaos. Minor things, such as changing eye colour, hair length, nose length, reproductive organ size and other such items are all possible. Minor polymorph lasts 24 hours. At creation, the alchemist must state the intent of the potion. EG: Minor Polymorph potion of eye colour. It must remain that way, should an alchemist want another effect, they must make a new potion.

Potion of Water-Breathing
Novice Level
Base: Water
Catalyst: Bestial
Essence: Ardent

This potion, to be quite honest, tastes awful. It smells like curdled death and tastes of rotting fish. If the drinker can manage to choke it down, their lungs immediately respond, taking extra-deep breaths and working harder than usual. For the next hour, the drinker can breathe water as well as air, but while their head is submerged, speech is impossible. When the duration ends, the imbiber’s lungs expel a thick burst of gas, clearing out any water remaining in the respiratory system. If the creature is still underwater, it immediately begins holding its breath to avoid drowning, as if it had just been submerged.

Potion of Water-Walking
Novice Level
Base: Water
Catalyst: Bestial
Essence: Dolor

Imbibing this clear, ice-cold fluid causes the drinker’s feet to tingle and buzz, as if they are falling asleep. For 10 minutes, the drinker’s footfalls will land true on any liquid, as if they are walking on solid ground. When the duration ends, the drinker immediately falls through any liquid that they are standing on, without warning, plunging into the depths.
