Weapon Skills

All weapon proficiency skills, give the character a +2% to hit and a +1 to dmg when using weapons that fall into their proficiency class. For example if a character were to have the swordsmanship (slashing) weapon skill, and he entered combat with a long sword (a slashing weapon) he would receive a +2% to hit and a +1 to his dmg rolls. However if that player, with the swordsmanship (slashing) skill entered combat with a staff, or say a bashing weapon or axe he would not receive his bonus.

Axes: Greataxe, Hand Axe, Battleaxe, Dwarven War Axe, Pick , Kama, Gnome Hooked Hammer
Bashing: Club, Light Mace, Mace, Morningstar, Hammer, Heavy Flail, Light Flail, Nunchaku, Greatclub, Warhammer, Shield Bash
Bows & Crossbows: Light Crossbow, Heavy Crossbow, Shortbow, Composite Shortbow, Longbow, Composite Longbow, Hand Crossbow, Triple Crossbow
Longblades: Falchion, Longsword, Greatsword, Longblade, Katana, Two-Bladed Sword, Epee, Saber
Polearms & Staves: Halfspear, Shortspear, Glaive, Quarterstaff, Guisarme, Halberd, Longspear, Ranseur, Trident, Scythe
Siege Weapons: Ballistae, catapults, siege screws,etc.
Shortblades: Dagger, Sickle, Scimitar, Kukri, Shortsword, Siangham, Wakizashi, Rapier, Fleuret, Ninja-to
Thrown: Dagger (thrown), Dart, Javelin, Sling, Shuriken, Throwing Axe
Unarmed: Unarmed strikes, Spiked Gauntlet
Whips & Chains: Spiked Chain, Whip, Scourge, Barbed Net
